Had a serious random craving for some biscuits but I wanted to #1 keep it healthy and #2 I wanted them to taste good! So I whipped these babies up in about 10 minutes had them with a serving of jelly and honey :)
Let me know how you like them!
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 tbs butter ( cold)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or any milk of your choosing
Directions
- In a medium sized bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well with whisk or fork.
- Cut the ½ stick butter into little pieces and then mix the pieces into the flour mixture using hand mixer until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Then pour in the milk and mix it all together. Knead the dough with your hands add a little flour if dough is too sticky. Cover dough in a bowl and let sit for 3-5 minutes then turn out onto a counter.
- Pat it out flat with your hands until the dough is a somewhat even ¾-inch thickness (sprinkle with a little flour if necessary).
- Turn a drinking glass upside down and cut out biscuit rounds
- Then put them on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375
degrees for 10 – 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Enjoy!
